Optimum Business English Facebook Group

I’m very happy to announce the creation of the Optimum Business English Facebook group.

Readers and followers of Optimum Business English now have the opportunity to join the Optimum Business English Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3485843101689259 and to be a part of our like-minded community.

I will also use it to post links to new articles and videos, so that you will never miss out on my posts.

It is a safe space to:

1 Share your Business English successes

2 Share your Business English failures

3 Ask advice on how to handle a specific Business English situation / ask a Business English question

4 Let me know what specific topic you would like me to write about next on the website. Please do be specific and don’t simply say, ‘Give me more’ (more, about what?), instead say, ‘I’d like an article on how to politely ask a person to keep quite in my meeting.’

5 Contact me directly for advice

Please note however, that as I do with this website, I plan on doing everything possible to keep the Facebook group a safe and respectful place, which is solely dedicated to the topic of Business English.

Rules of Engagement:

Please don’t join the Facebook group if you intend to do any of the following, or I will have no choice but to remove and ban you from the group, before deleting your comments:

1 Spam / selling / promoting anything: Openly or embedding / hiding it in a normal comment

2 Hate speech or any other offensive comments: If you don’t have something good / positive / polite to say then please refrain from commenting at all

3 Excessive blasphemy, swearing, cursing, cussing: *&£^$!

4 Off topic: Any posts / comments which do not directly relate to Business English

5 Posting any link (in case they contain a computer virus or other nasty things, so as to protect group members from accidently clicking on them)

6 As this is a Business English group, please don’t use any other language: It may be a way of hiding 1-5 above because we don’t all understand what you are saying

In order to manage your expectations, please note that though I will check in regularly (it may not necessarily be daily, as I’m often busy with multiple projects at once) but I will always respond to questions posed to me directly (starting with ‘Lyn, …’), as soon as I see them. Otherwise, any question posed will be an open invitation for the group to respond to.

I’ve decided to kick our conversations off with a web poll to learn more about you and why you are interested in Business English. I’d love to hear more of your stories, so please join the group today and get posting.

Please join the Optimum Business English Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3485843101689259 to get notified each time we post a new article on this website, as it will also be posted there.
